Default Driver Side wiper no contact at edges . ..

My Driver side wiper don't clean properly .

When in Action at about 45 degree angle The edges lift off , only the center portion remains in contact with the windshield

I have changed the blade but still the same , The wiper arm springs are fine. It has the same level of tension as the right arm Which cleans properly

Ps. When i press my hand on the wiper arm with gentle pressure it works fine

Guys what do you think??

Default The blade is installed wrong.

One end of the blade should be held captive in the end of the arm, the other end should be able to slide.

This allows the hinges in the wiper arm to flex the blad against the changing surface of the glass.

You appear to have your blade trapped between each end of the arm, causing the blade to be bowed......hence the wipe pattern you're getting.

Default Re: The blade is installed wrong.

The wiper arm is fine but the blade is installed on the wrong side of the hook. Remove the blade, turn it 180 degrees, reinstall, and all will be well.

Default Turned blade 180 degree still the same

Even after flipping 180 degree the results are still. When the wiper is at 90 degree its gets bowed fully and only a small portion remains in contact with windsheild . When a small pressure is applied at the center of the blade it touches properly ..

Does that meant the springs are out? . I couldn't get a same arm at junkyard . Is it a good idea to get spring alone from A4 arm and put in this one?

Default How come in that photo wiper arm's end is fitted into the blade differently...

when comparing the "bad" one to the "good" one. Take a look at how far the "good" one's arm goes down through the blade.

Maybe something's not right with how you have the arm snapped into the center pivot pin on the blade, on the "bad" one?

New Audi blades with rubber are pretty cheap, driver's side has an air dam, and work well. I recently put on one of those more expensive rain-x latitude blades and it has been pretty good for normal use, but for winter it has been great since there is nowhere for the snow and ice to get jammed into. Like a winter blade, but much nicer looking.
As a sidenote, I still have the Audi OEM blade on the passenger side and it is very good for non-snow use.

Default if you changed just the rubber blade it's possible that it's

being gripped too tighly by the metal "tangs" that hold it to the wiper assembly. it should be able to move a little bit end to end through all of the middle attachment points.

Default You need the plastic adapter piece that was included with the blades (or should have been)...

which you snap onto the blade, then clip onto your arm.

Looks like this:

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/6539576-0-large.jpg</a

Default tela how did you put Rain-x latitude on Yours?

Did you fit it on the stock arm? I thought it needed special adapter.

Do you have part number ? I found Bosch 422A on autohauz did any one try this one

Thanks austinado didn't notice that one..well i guess its better to change rain-x like the one tela 's having

The rain-x/bosch blades require the adapter piece pictured above
