Flourescent lights and keyless entry, whats the deal?
I have noticed when I go to the movie store if I park up front by the building my keyless entry won't work. If I park in the back of the lot it works fine. I also noticed by some other stores that it won't work. I thought at first it was getting interference from something but I can't think of what it would be. Then I read about how flourescent lights can effect the IR sensors. I noticed the movie store has big flourescent lights and so do some of the other stores. What exactly is it that regular lights won't effect but the flourescent light does?

Flourescent and neon lights give off alot of extraneous light that will effect the IR
for example when i go to the movie store with the neon lights in the window my V1 radar goes CRAZY. As well as when any new Trailblazer with the neon 3rd brake light.

I don't have a Valentine 1 but I have a Whistler and neons don't set that off. I am going to be putting two blue neons inside my car, one under each side of the dash. I hope those won't effect my radar detector.
