Hi all,

I haven't posted in a while (a long while).
I still have my 100cs and I recently got an
99.5 A4 1.8T Q.

Tell you what guys, the build quality on our older cars is better than the new ones.

That aside, I recently changed my heater fan in my 100cs, but I guess in the process I damaged the heater core. It seems to be leaking at the point where the lower L shaped fitting joins with the coolant lower hose.

Has anyone changed their Heater Core? Any idea what the cost would be to have a shop do it?

Okay, I guess that means no ; )

...damage the heater core changing out the "heater" fan?? Also, there is not a "lower" coolant hose for the heater core (generally just two side by side hoses).

I think you are talking about the radiator fan and the radiator!!? Am I correct or do you really mean the heater core??

On the drivers side there's a hose going into the heater core that has the valve on it. Right under this hose is another smaller hose that returns the coolant to the engine.

The lower hose is leaking. I'm guessing that when I raised the air box I stressed the metal pipe.
