HELP Please..No Headlamps '95 A6
This am (22 deg. F in Northeast) my headlamps fail to come on. I have all other instrument, and tail lamps, markers, etc. However, then clicking the lamp stalk up to headlamps, they don't come on. (everything else stays lit)
I had this trouble a couple of months ago (along with hard to turn Ign switch), which was cured by replacing the Ign Switch. (giggled the switch today with no help)
The only thing that I can put my finger on at the moment, is I put the car thru the car wash yesterday after a 6 hr drive in Northeast salty roads. The car was good and warm, so I figured it would be ok, and the headlamps were working afterwards. After an evening of cold soak outside I'm greated with this problem.
Anybody have any Ideas where to look first??
HELP

Fuses = OK ... The relays.. in Relay box... Where are they??
All Fuses OK. Where are the relays that control the headlamps??? The Bentley CD is pretty much useless for troubleshootin, and their wiring diagrams are umpossible to decipher

If the high beam lights are working, but not the driving lights my money would be on the headlight stalk switch. Common with Audis...

headlight stalk switch....Common Problem???
I guess I'll need to look into the switch as you suggest. However, I searched this entire forum, and found only 2 other instances of my particular problem....with no mention of replacing the stalk switch....if this is a common problem....it's not evidenced in this forum...I'll dig into the switch, after I locate the relays refered to by Maini in the thread....thanks for the tip
