How hard to replace cam seals?

What's the procedure to do this, if I might ask...

front or rears? rears easy fronts hard.

I just changed the rears, which one was a seal and the other was just a o-ring just pop of the covers and replace figure a hr or so, but the fronts are a different story, you need to remove timming belt and replace. remove sprockets to get to seals, or if you don't want to remove sprockets then you need to remove cams to get the seals off. should be done when you do timming belt, since you are not supposed to re-tension the belt.

Dont you need a sprocket holder tool?

I thought you needed a tool to hold the sprocket. Since Mark will be doing the Timimg belt with me and I have an extra set of seals that I can give him, can this be done without the cam holding tool? Would all we have to do is mark where the sprocket is positioned on the cam, loosen and remove the sprocket r&r the seal then tighten the sprocket down in the correct position?

Worth doing just the rears? or will front want to leak, then?

front seals go around the shaft thus the cam sprockets need to be pulled to press them in, this is generally done when you do the timing belt job since you are already there.
