Default I need a Bose alpha c4 amp with at least one channel working

It's the stock Bose amp for 93 Audi 100 CS. I get a very very loud buzz from the left speaker. Swapped the left and right speakers and it's definitely the left channel on the amp. I even pulled it out and had my roommate test it with an oscilloscope.
Thanks

on the speaker buzz. i had the same thing on my 92 100 CS. (also with bose system). my fix was to unplug the left door speaker and suffer without it. up till reading your post, i was thinking there was a separate amp in the assempbly that housed the door speaker.

i thought audis had separate amps in the rear speakers and figured the doors had the same. hmmm. so now, it looks like i need the amp that is part of (connected to) the radio?

why do you need an amp with one side working? can they be swapped out? what about the parts (transistors, etc) in the amp? can they be swapped out?

any thoughts appreciated.

The audio setup in my 93 100 CS is 2 front speakers in the doors and 2 rear speakers behind the back seat. The rear amp housing contains 2 identical units, one for each channel.

Default yes, but didn't answer questions

so you are saying that the front speakers are just that (speakers)? and only the rears have separat amps? the amp which is part of the radio supplies the juice for the front speakers?

also, there is no way to fix the amps with components? send me a separate email, if you find an unit that has more than one good amp and you want to share (also share cost)

No. I think the front speakers have their own amps too. It seems that the radio has low level line outputs so they are amplified by an amp for each speaker.
Yes, it can be fixed with components if you find them. On my bad amp, one of the two Bose integrated chips is fried and I couldn't find a replacement.
You'll receive an email from me if I find a good amp.
