Default Just had PBR pads installed.... Blah, quite spongy.

I'm hoping they will break in and perform a little better once the entire pad makes contact with the disc.

I think I'll just give up on searching for good pads. I've tried 6 different brands now, none worth buying again.

Default I can't justify putting upgrades into these cars... That would be $2k with wheels. Car is worth $8k?

Would rather put it towards an S4/S6... or whatever I get next.

Default Read bad reviews. Didn't want to take the chance of getting pads that needed to heat up to stop well

Since I do 100% city driving now, no major braking to really heat them up.

Default Yeah that would be a small problem

out of all the pads you've used, there must be one that you would recommend all around.

Oh, what was the place you got the Zimmermans from? I'm due to do my brakes soon and I'm looking for a good set of slotted rotors.

Default Sorry to steer you in the wrong direction. I'm pretty happy with the PBR's though.

Question: how can the pads the "spongy"? Just not stopping as well as you'd like?
