Default Light on the Key

I have a 1996 A6 and one of my keys has a little light in it so you can light up your ignition at night, etc. Well, when I bought the car, it didn't have a battery in it. I resorted to the Owners Manual, but it gave NO information as to what size it takes. All it says is "See Dealer to purchase new batteries and bulbs." Anyone know the battery size??

Best bet would be to take the battery to Radio Shack or a camera store.

...different battery manufacturers will put a prefix and/or a suffix behind it. Most places that have camera, calculator supplies (Sav-on, Wal-Greens, Rite-aid, Radio Shack, you get the idea) will probably carry it. If battery doesn't make light go on, try a new bulb also; $2.50 at the dealer or try Radio Shack. I had to do both to get mine to work!

Default Thanks, I'll go visit Radio Shack......

If they don't have it, I'll resort to the Dealer.
