Major oil leak Help Revisited
Ok I Pulled all the plastics from around the timing and serpentine belt and cleaned the area really well.
after I ran the car for about three minutes to see where the oil is comming from..
I noticed a steady drip from the pass side of the oil pan so I turned the car off, I is comming from behind the alternator somewhere.
I also noticed some on the front of the oil pan which had not started to drip yet, that was dripping from the crank pulley but I could not see anything else..
It seems to be alot of oil for the short run time. in three min I have a pool of oil on the driveway about 6-7 inches in diameter and more oil on the side and front of the oil pan and running down the bottom of the oil pan..
was the first diagnostic correct (upper oil pan gasket) or could it be something else, if it is
could the bolts be loose or something to case this much leaking and could I tighten them without pulling the sub frame.

yeah crank seal right?
I would have to pull the crank pully to get to it right,
I really don't want to mess with the timing
since I don't have the tools for it..
hey where is the crank position sensor I read something about that leaking also.

OK pulled front crank pulley
and moved alternator so I could clean the oil that was left behind the two locations, I want to run the car but the accessory belt is off and as I said the alt is unbolted..
will the car start and run for about two without the above items...
I can't see the leak if I can't start the car!

I'm going to look somemore tommorow
but I looked quite a bit today and that was the best that I could see..
what is required for the removal of the valley pan?
I believe the water pump is what I was looking at and I don't think oil is coming from behind that, unless it has some form of a channel for oil on the back mounting surface.
