need new tranny how do you pull the shell of the frame?
the junk yard said that pulling the body off the frame and replacing the tranny and tcase is easiest way to do this fix
should i overhall the whole thing? should i find a 1.7 turbo engine to stick in instead?
should i burn this car?

yes seems extreme.
So after getting under there to look at doing this job. I dont even see a frame. Do you like jack up the front of the car and take the wheels out with the tranny and engine? Apparently with this model of audi you need to pull engine to access tranny... unless someone knows better is what l'm hoping.

Job needed is new tranny and x-case. That is the diagnosis that the junk yard guy gave me about this audi. I had some issues when turning, if i turned sharply i woudl be feeling that jump the haldex quattro stuff does as it dies, and then I blew a tire and used a spare tire too long and it started making slamming sounds below the car in the drive train so i messed with the tire pressure to make the knock go away, and made it home. Bit it was fried, the engine and the wheels became disconnected on the way to the tire shop. Sooo The junkyard said that the issue would be within the xcase and the tranny, and just putting in a used set of those two things, still connected, would be the easiest way to do the job. he offered to do it for a grand, if i bought the parts for another 800. so that totally totals this audi. not if i do it myself though, but that seems beyond my ability, i have done heads and easy ****, but this is insane... scrap her hu... dont you think aswaell? I can buy a new ride for under 2000 these days off CL body is cherry though. and i just tinted it last summer lol.
