timing belt. I want to have a look at the timng belt in my car. i have found a new problem and i dont like the looks of it.

The A6 is leaking oil and im afraid it might be leaking onto the timing belt.
Does anyone know how to inspect a timing belt on this car?

Thanx alot.

Default On the 92 100cs

remove the top cover, four locking pins.
remove the front cover, two bolts.
On the front of each cylinder back are the timing belt covers. There are a couple of clips midway down the timing belt cover. Unclip both sides and the cover can be removed, slide it up and towards you. repeat for the other side. The timing belt is now exposed.

Oil leaks probably from HEAD gaskets. (common problem)
