Default now what exactly is this?,....

<center><img src="http://img-archive.auto24.ee/auto24/560/2049580.jpg"></center><p>i found this while still looking for info for a diesel swap into my car. look where our clock, oil temp and pressure usually are. it appears to have a different item there? is that a digital display, or some kind of cubbyhole??



also, does anyone know if the tdi's that came in the c4's came in a quattro?

According to Haynes; "4-wheel drive models are also available." So, looks like yes.

Default The 2.5 tdi came in quattro form but I have never seen....

a 1.9 tdi quattro.
They may have been avaible in France &amp; Germany though.

Yeah, very weird... compared with your US-Audis the european ones are quite poor equipped. Everything has to be paid extra, so this was C4 german standard:

-4 cylinder, 2.0 liters
-front wheel drive
-manual seat adjustment (no height ajustment!)
-manual windows
-manual transmission

and: 2 very nice and useful storage compartments in the dash;-)

(bigger engine, climate control, power seats, memory seats, heated seats, 3rd row, automatic transmission, clock, oil temp, oil pressure, leather, wood trim and all thos tiny things had to be paid extra!)

Can you imagine that? Weird, huh?

Sometimes I really envy you...
