This doesn't require removing wiper arms -- see FAQ

Remove the plastic cap, unthread the nut, pull wiper arm off shaft. Easy DIY.

Default Speaking of the FAQ, there is no need to track the position of the flaps when you split your HVACbox

They are keyed.

Default You are right -- the FAQ does show removing the wiper arms. However,...

I found it easier to bend the filter and push it into place.

Default Thanks Gary, it was easy. Unfortunately, after all that work I could not figure out where the...

damn cabin filter goes! Seriously, the only logical place is the passenger side plastic chamber with + marks on the top but it's not sealed (open on the firewall side) and I have no idea how to put a filter down there once the cap with 3 bolts is removed! Really frustrating, I spent over an hour to no avail so any advice would be appreciated.
I need a Bentley for Christmas (the car too!)

Default Once the plastic cover is off the filter should fit down in the opening.

Default I stuck my hand down in there and felt the filter element but didn't know how to pull it out and...

not mess up anything else. Apparently in the FAQ you remove a small plate that the bolts screwed into, that gives you more access. Just curious, why is that plenum open in the back? I saw leaves and crap in the bottom of mine, I figured it was a sealed system like the air intake for the engine.
