picking up 92 100csq automatic 155,000 miles
Can you guys give me any advice as to what to look for? I'm getting the car from my buddy this weekend for $4,000. He told me the only things "off" were that sometimes the breaks squeel and the right front speaker comes and goes. He did the timing/water pump at 105,000. Alt. around 90,000 fuel pump around 95,000. He keeps the car very clean, cosmetically and mechanically. If you guys know of any warning signs he may not know of, like simptoms of things to come. . . Any advice will help. Thanks

Sounds good...
Transmission in that car could see failure really from now on, at that mileage... make sure it's running well, shifting without slipping or sticking.
Brake squeal probably isn't a problem really. Glazed pads or perhaps a faulty installation. Some anti-squeal or sanding of the pad surface could/should correct that. Pad and rotor thickness are more important than squeal.
For $4k... it doesn't sound bad at all!
