Haynes manual is no help. Bentley wiring diagram (thanks Fair Cape) is no help. Still awaiting the arrival of my Bentley CD.

Can someone tell me where the reverse light switch is located? It's not in the shift console, I just looked.

Is it mounted to the transmission? I got under the car and unplugged the connector on the right side, pulled the boot back and there's the black with blue stripe wire that the Bentley wiring schematic shows. But that whole harness loops around and into something in the upper area of the right trans mount bracket. The shifter cable also goes there. Is this it? Some big combo-switch thing?

I've got reverse lights and right mirror dipping that intermittently don't work in the Avant, and they don't work at all in the sedan.

I don't know if that's true for the auto, but I guess that it is similar.

Uber pricey at the dealer. Something like $162?!

On back order until Nov. with most of the usual OEM suppliers like World Pac, SSF, IMC, etc.

I did find one and it might be here Tues....for $85. Spank me very much!

Per ETKA, the back-up switch is P/N 012 919 823 F, which is mounted on the top of the transmission.
