Someone with A/C knowledge or a Bentley, I need to be sure - is this my high pressure switch?

From a pathetic high school grad who sweats too much to the Audi community - does someone know? I'm referring to the red thing with the wimpy circle around it, on the far driver side of the condenser.
I tried to remove the boot by hand, failed. Tried pliars, failed again. If this is it, I'm just going to cut the wires and try jumping it to see if it's actually my problem. If it's not, then you'll be saving me a lot of trouble (and cut wires)! If it is, then you'll be giving me hope of happiness.
Thank you sirs, I am already in your debt!

I don't know how you could find out, but if it's at all possible for you to be specific or..
in a perfect world, have a picture, I'd be extrememly in your debt.
Regardless, I'll certainly hold off on wire splicing for the time being.
Thanks,
-Jeff

Switches... ignore my post below.
There are two high pressure switches. One switches the fans to speed 2 when a/c pressure increases (F23). The other (F118) turns the a/c clutch off when pressure gets too high.
F118: Red housing w/ wires. Located on the left side of the condenser. Switch opens (compressor OFF): 28.2-31.0 bar (409-450 psi). Switch closes (compressor ON): 10.3-17.2 bar (149-250 psi). Removing: Remove electrical connector and unscrew high pressure switch. A/C system remains closed.
Install new O-ring -A- (7.6 mm x 1.8 mm), lubricate with refrigerant (PAG) oil and ensure proper seating in groove.
- Torque switch to 5 Nm (44 in lb).
F23: Green Housing. Located on the left side of the condenser. system remains closed.
Make sure you replace o-rings.

Ah, great, so it is it! How's the "electrical connector" supposed to come off? Just a good tug?
Great, this is amazingly helpful. I'm glad someone finally knows!!! I guess if I can't pull the connector I'll jump the wires to see if it is the problem, and then tackle it from there.
Thanks!!!

Ahhhh! By tracing the wire back I found another red connector
Car's too hot to remove it now, but in an hour or so I'll try. I bet that the whole assembly with pigtail is the sensor, and the connector is the thing you're supposed to remove. That would make infinately more sense AND explain why pliars wouldn't do it. Ahhh, the moment of truth is close!
