Strange start probleme.
Hello
When its cold outside and i use the engine-warmer ( defa ) during the night, the car will not start in the morning. Today I hade to wait 10 minuts ( with the DEFA unpluged) then it started, whery strange.
I have not this probleme when the engine is cold or warm. Its just the combination of cold wheather and the use of the engine warmer.
Perhpas a bad coolant censor?
The car is a 1991 audi 100 v6 2.8

Re: Not a fix but, maybe you should unplug the "DEFA" 10 minutes or more before attempting to start.
Ok. My thought is that the engine control system "thinks" the engine is hot, and not apply the cold start procedure. But the engine it self is not really "hot" its just the coolant that the censor is feeling.
