Towing questions
Whats the max towing capacity for a 96 a6q w/ 120k and stock suspension. My car came with a trailer hitch when i bought it. We are going camping this weekend and my buddy has a pop up camper, dont know weight or length yet. But should i even consider towing this camper? Please any info adive would be appreciated thanks Mark

Might find it in the owner's books?
Unless it's some monster pop-up, you should be fine I would think. They probably don't weigh much at the tongue and with those pizza cutter tires, don't have much rolling weight.
I would recommend doing 2 things.
1) Give the trailer tires a thorough inspection and air them up to the proper pressure.
2) Give the trailer bearings a good spin and make sure they not noisey or "rumbley."
Nothing sucks like loosing a tire or an axle bearing failure. Things get ugly real fast at speed.

Per Bentley Manual Maintenance section, the maximum permissible trailer weights are...
Trailer w/ brakes: 2000 lbs. (900 kg)
Trailer w/o brakes: 1455 lbs. (660 kg)
Tongue load: 110 lbs. (50 kg)

Towing tip......
Try to load the trailer so you have 110lbs at the tongue. This gives greater stability to the trailer at speed. If the trailer is balanced or the weight is to the back, the trailer is likely to sway badly.

I thought of an analogy for sprung vs unsprung weight.Imagine running w/weight attached to your feet
