Default Updates on the 92'

The car fired right up after I added some oil (3 quarts); however there was a very noticeable ticking present. I pulled the spark plugs and they were pretty bad. I also noticed a lot of standing oil around cyl #5. Tonight I WAS going to do a compression check, throw some different spark plugs in, maybe fill it up with some good gas, and run seafoam through the intake/gas. Instead the starter decided to die after the first failed attempt at starting (dead battery). Now I can't do anything until I swap the starter out tomorrow

What do you think the chances of this engine actually being good are?

Sounds like the motor is fine...do you plan on keeping both cars?

Default I think I'll keep them both, for a while at least.

I think this 92 is going to be somewhat of a project to get back on the road and I always wanted to keep my 94 until it was no longer drivable.

Default I'm going to replace the starter tonight so I can do a compression check.

Then I'll have a better idea of what I'll need to do.
