Default '86 and up 5000s and 200s

MC1 can take a lil more boost thanks to the more boost friendly compression ratio and runs off the MAC11 ECU. COmes with the K26 turbo which has a lil more lag, but the lower CR helps spool it up and has a lil more high end punch.

MC2 has a higher compression ratio, runs a k24 turbo which has quicker spool and less lag than the k26, and a more agressive cam to make up for the higher compression ratio... optimal would be to take the MC1 bottom end and use the MC2 cam shaft. ECU is a MAC14 ecu.

If you want, I have some goodies left over from my swap that are helpful... like downpipe (will need a lil welding to make complete since it's a cut auto 200 downpipe), coil pack, and a few other odds and ends... lemme know if you want 'em... I'll let 'em go cheap just to get them out of my garage. Also have the KH IM/TB which will be helpful if you decide to go EFI with it.

I have an MC1 in my 4ktq and I love it. Its been UBER reliable too, just like the other Audi's Ive owned! Its super to have reliability and performance stuffed into the 4000 chassis

Default Do I ever!!!

Its night and day, seriously. I drove Collins 4kq back in November. I hadnt driven a regular 4kq since I did the engine swap, so it was interesting to see how it matched up.
With the turbo motor (chipped and wastegate spring) the car is alot of fun, believe me. Having the boost come on is a great feeling too. I figure I went from 115hp to 215-220hp, thats a pretty sizable jump. This is also a very stock setup, stock turbo, it has a chipped ECU, but its a mild chip, Id say. The mods that Ive done are ones that people have done for a while, so its nothing new. It keeps me happy for now. Also, the fuel mileage has increased as well! Performace and fuel economy increased, thats pretty awesome
This swap is well worth the time and effort if you dont wanna go 20vt. Sure EFI may be in the future, but for spot on reliability at the moment I will live with CIS.

Default About 100hp increase? Awesome!

I'm just wondering, because one of the mechanics next door (At the Audi dealership) wants to swap time-for-time on my Turbo installation. He has a 78 Rabbit he wants bodywork done and resprayed.

So I do bodywork on his car, and he'll do the swap for me... now I just need to find about $1000 to buy all the goodies :P

...hopefully someday soon...
