Default Anybody running a performance cam on there 10V........

Maybe a BLAUsport 272 cam. Are you happy with the power increase??? Is it well worth the investment??? Where do you notice the most improvement?

Default I used to have a 272/276 cam..

Most noticable in the upper rpms right around 5000. Its a decent mod for the 10v but I wouldnt pay retail for one. Often they show up on ebay used or on audifans. Goodluck!

Default I have the Blau 272 in my car...

...and it's more lively in the mid-to upper RPMs, but it's still slow. *shrug* I'm convinced the only way to make these things faster is an engine swap. The JT simply can't muster enough power to overcome the weight and drivetrain loss that plagues these cars.

Default you'll get best results if you put it in an "NF" engine...

The bigger valves in the "NF" will get maximum potential out of it.
I paid $209. for my blau cam, my mildly ported "NF" idles like dookie, but pulls REAL hard from 4,000 to 5,750rpm.
The weight of the car makes the biggest difference, these engines just aren't big enough nor do they have enough low end torque to move a car weighing over 2,500lbs quickly.

The solution is to dump a turbo in it or if you want to be exotic, or build a good track car; swap in a 2.6L eurovan block, for ultimate N.A. power, top it off with a 20v head.
Properly built, with aftermarket F.I, 225hp and 200lbs ft. of torque are not out of the question, I know a guy who will build you a longblock for around $6,000!!!!!!

Default I have the Blau cam

Also put on an adjustable sproket, blue.. looks way cool LOL. It all helped the car above about 4000 rpm, and adjusting the sproket helped the lower revs stay OK. No clue on Hp increase, the car is better on the track so thats good. Im changing to the blau head this winter...

For circuit racing I'd take the 2.6L 20v powerband over turbo any day!

Keep in mind, there are shops out there who can re-grind to any spec you want for much cheaper!
