anyone have their coolant light flash / level good...switch checked...and unpluged

has to be a short somewhere any BTDTs

Sensor on coolent tank is no good.

Tank has been replaced, also , when the fluid is low,...

the switch closes the circuit, so disconnecting the plug should extinguish the idiot light

Are you sure the fluid level is always what it should be?

If it's low, then that darn thing will flash occasionally.

These are always difficult faults... well usually difficult faults...

since a closed switch will cause the light to go on you are looking for either a short between the two lines or a possible short from one line to chassis ground. Unless someone here can reply with a BTDT you just need to dig in with your multimeter.

Let us know what you find.

Tank Switch ++OR++ Overtemp sender can do that

There are two things that can make the 'blinky' coolant light come on.

One is the coolant level is low.That's *usually* (but not always) the reason. The other trigger is the 'coolant temp too hot!!!" sensor.

It's usually the top sender on the coolant neck (head end of top rad hose). The connector WITHOUT the metal clip. The same sensor (but different wiring pin) that works the temp gauge.

Undo that connector, and see if the light stops blinking...
