Anyone interested: 4000 with 1994 V6 motronic engine? How much would you pay?
Hello everyone
I've got a very well maintained 140,000 mile 1994 audi 90 v6 motronic engine. I pulled it out of my 90 for a 20vT swap.
Instead of parting out the engine or selling it I'm considering building a 4000 quattro sedan with this engine setup.
Would there be anyone interested in this setup?
How much would you pay for a setup life so?
I know the difficulty or lack of difficulty of the swap. It should be a piece of cake for me.
I'm thinking of sourcing a rust free car. California etc. Drive it back home to New england.
Thanks
Josh

So what do you know about life? ****e happens man..
I'm not in control of my enviroments. Death, love, wealth, work, and everything in between.
Audis are just audis to me..
Nevertheless. I'm still having more fun with my life then most people.

I might be interested....
If the swap was done cleanly and the 4K in question was an '84 (or MAYBE a newer car, but there are only a few colors I'd be interested in).
Price would depend on whether the engine had a recent T-belt, serpentine belt, tensioners, and H2O pump, clutch, the condition of the car, and what other work needed to be completed (after buying the car I would want to make it RIGHT- new paint, etc.). A.C. would need to be intact.
I don't imagine, unless you have a VERY cheap 4KQ in mind and a lot of time on your hands, it would be worth your while as a money-making venture.
Most any of us who would attempt something like that would do it for the sheer love of the adventure, and the uniqueness and performance of the car.
Nevertheless, I might be interested in such a car.
If you're serious, drop me an email.
Have you seen 2Bennett's V8 converted 4KQ?
