Maybe the dimmer or headlight switch just went out? They can be flakey..

Did you notice if your windows & mirrors work? If not, could be a bad ignition switch

Default wwhere do the gorunds go??? stupid question lol

i have a feeling i had something with power hit the ground wires(exposed ground wire) and kinda went zap!! so if i know where the stereo ground wire goes i might be able to fix it.. then again maybe not.....

Default Grounds back there behind the stereo are all brown in my car.

You can lose all the dash wiring if you have a worn spot or bad light switch. I have personally had to re-wire the entire dash because of this... talk about a PITA!

Since you're having problems, I'd recommend checking everything really really well. Maybe start where you were working on the stereo?

Default where do these wires go? (wire hunt :D )

there is a bunch of black wires that all the speakers go to, and then there is a dark blue with light blue on it where does that go?

my car is somewhat together at the moment with the exception of the radio and the instrument panel.
