Default bodywork Q?

ok so the weather is getting nice and i'm moving into a house this weekend with a garage. i'm going to start the bodywork on the 4k. so any tips for the removing and reintalling parts? what problems have you ran into? also i saw on cardomain a 4k that looks like the trunk latch was shaved and replaced with just an audi emblem. how was this done?

Default Some answers

The trunk lock can be shaved if you snag a V8 tail light setup, or rig the latch somehow. Seen a few of these done and they look good, but there is still that notch in the spoiler for the trunk lock.

What parts are you referring to about reinstalling? The side mouldings on the doors would be the biggest issue and challenge i would think. Door handles, front end stuff, tail lights, all that junk comes off easily.

Default They will curl up when you take them off. I'd be suprised if you could get them back on

and have them look decent. I did not reinstall mine when painting. Looks good without em, depending on your taste.

Default Try gentle heat on the inner door to soften the glue.

If you don't bend them they won't curl.

Word of caution, wax undercoating is flammable! BTDT

Mine curled up just running a line behind them to remove. I didn't bend them
