Toyota instantly screams 2JZ in my generation Y mind haha. But I'm not sure if that can even be swapped in. Hey if you're more comfortable working on a domestic engine then I would suggest that, especially if the parts are easier to come by. I wonder how hard it would be to even fit a straight 6 in there. How are you mounting the 4.3? Is there an adaptor bellhousing? Or is it direct

Sounds like it's actually a pretty solid plan then?

I think so. The car is going to be in the body shop of the school I teach at for a while. I'm letting them do body work and paint it. When it comes out I'll probably get started. Until than I'll just be aquiring parts.

Looks like you can do plenty with these engines...

300hp would be a big step up from stock in this car, that's for sure. Do it!

Yeah seems like a viable upgrade for sure. I'm looking forward to it.

Looking at this https://paceperformance.com/p-3990-e...imensions.html Think its still possible for my 4.3L idea? Seems to me like I wouldn't have enough room for the accessories by pulling a tape in my engine bay. Anyone have any thoughts?

I would have to measure the bay to see .seems like you're cramming a lot in there. I'm still confused, is there an adapter plate for the tranny to bolt to? And the input shaft has to be converted to one that fits in the Chevy engine, right? That's gonna add a few inches on as well. It will be tight, that's for sure. You might have to catty corner the radiator.

Yeah there is an adapter kit made by Kennedy. I called and talked to him and it sounds like although they make the kit they haven't seen anyone actually put a Chevy motor in a Audi.

Haha so they make a kit that no one has used before? Interesting..... It's a shame you can't get your hands on anything else. I'm going to check out an AAN tomorrow, I might get it. Would you want my old JT if I swap? Or you're looking to actually add power?
