I just want to add power. I got my motor actually running well right now. After measuring my engine bay I just don't see it anymore. I was thinking a 4.3 couldn't be as long as a i5... I was wrong haha

Well thank you for your time. I think this thought might be a bust. I might have to bite the bullet and do one of the normal swaps. It might just take me years to accumulate parts and funds.

Yeah I think those are the 3B's right? That's a 10 valve turbo I think. There was also a 20v turbo before the AAN that ised K-Jetronic I think it was in the 200. So you have a few options. The block for all of them is the same, so you could slap a turbo and 20v head on to improve output

Interesting. I didnt realize it was the same block. Ive seen people like Rog do an entire motor swap before. I didn't realize I could just do a turbo'd head. I will do more thread searching! Thank you!

When I left Anchorage in 2007, it was damn near impossible to source old Audi parts. Bet any little remaining stock has pretty much dried up. I blame that on the old emissions requirements.
At one point in time about 25 years ago up in Fairbanks (North Pole) people used to give me their cars..4000’s, 4000 Quattro’s, 5000’s old and newer, 5000 turbo’s (even had one 81 5000 turbo) and Fox’s.
There is a salvage yard in Fairbanks that couldn’t hurt to call if you’re interested in a 20V. They tend to be the ones that end up with the old cars and keep them until picked clean. MSI is the name of the place. Last time I was there was in 1997 so not sure how they operate. Used to be a u pull it.

Ill check with MSI they were in Anchorage for a bit as well. I go to Fairbanks a decent amount. Thank you for the input. It has gotten tough to find parts and cars for sure. I had an ad on craigslist for about 3 years to find a 4000. I finally got one but it isn't exactly "nice". Its a tough place to live if you like older vehicles. It seems like the older stuff dries up at an accelerated pace up here. In 2004 when I was in high school I had multiple friends with audi 4000's probably why I still like them. Now its a really rare occurrence you see one.
