Default Engine removal

I'm trying to pull the engine out of my 84 4000Q. I have all the wires disconnected and all the bolts out, and the engine and trans are separated enough that I can see inside the trans. But it's hung up on something and I can't figure out what it might be. Clutch maybe??
I'm sure it's just something dumb that I haven't found yet, or don't know to look for.
Anyone got any ideas?

If it's hung up at the back then it's probably the transmission input shaft. You have to pull the engine forward several inches before it'll clear. Which means you'll definitely have to remove the snub mount. It's a lot easier if you remove the whole core support, but that involves cutting. Otherwise you'll have to tilt it back a lot.

Also easier to drop it out the bottom, but you'll need to jack the car way up in the air and remove the subframe. So that can be more complicated.

You'll have to pick you poison on that job.

I did cut off the core support (it was wrinkled on one side anyways) so I'm just trying to pull straight out.
Is there anything inside the trans that would still be connected?
I can get it to move out, but it stops like it's hitting something. Move it in and out and it stops in the same place.

I'm close to just pulling the damn tranny out with it.

There shouldn't be anything hanging it up. This is what it looks like, from when I pulled mine:

Could it be snagging on the subframe or something? Are you sure everything around the engine is removed?

I found it. There was a mounting bolt down on the bottom of the down pipe that bolted to the trans. I knew it was going to be something stupid.
Thanks for the help
