Factory sunroof manual?
Anybody have one of these? Ive seen them on ebay before but never won the auctions. Ive had a "holy war" with my sunroof for years and really want to get it fixed before Carlisle.
Any help?

Im gonna offer turbo swap help too!
Id love to get this stupid sunroof retracting properly for Carlisle. Morgan and I were talking too about having a Q and A about tech stuff on Audi's at Carlisle. Just an idea. I figured it may be difficult to do becuase we have a limited amount of time there as is. Just an idea.
I realize alot of people have questions on the forums. Carlisle would be a place to ask technical questions too, since the cars are already there!

speaking of turbo swap question...
what did you do with the oil pan on the MC motor when you put it in... did you have to bend it or anything to make it clear the stock radiator?
I know that's one of the obstacles in the engine bay, and I was curious how you conquered it.
thanks!

Good question...
You use a stock JT/KX oil pan AND pickup tube/baffle. I bought a brand spankin new pan for 1 dollar from Justin (rocketaudi) last year at Carlisle. The pickup tube/baffle is easy to switch over, just gotta be careful since the whole thing is brittle.
The MC pan will not work, unfortunately. If you need a spare pan I have one.

Totally different book. Ive got the Bentley and its missing critical things (like motor alignment, which can be found in the 5000 bentley).

What does your sunroof do/not do?
Luckily, the only problem I've had with mine is that one time the timing of the wind guard was off, causing the sunroof panel to hit it and jam. A few quick bendings of the linkage for the guard and I was good to go.

Its been a while, but here goes...
The sunroof tilts just fine, but only retracts a small bit. When it does retract its stopped because the top of the sunroof scrapes the underside of the roof of the car. Ive got nice gouges in the paint to prove that . I spent alot of time a year or so ago taking the panel off, making sure all the parts were there and working fine. I seem to have trouble lining things up properly and have had bad luck with the "lugs" breaking (the things that push down on the rain tray so the roof is free to move back). I now believe I have another broken piece on the pass side of the roof, but havnt taken the panel off to investigate. When it gets a tad warmer out I'll snag some detailed pictures and hope for some help .
