i haven't mailed paper taxes in about 10 years. i do everything i can on the computer.

Default turbo tax then mail...
I see no point in spending $30-$40 to efile when I can spend <$1 and mail it in

Knowing the govn't they're just going to print it out anyways, so I'll save them the effort!

Mail...increase in complexity of my taxes may change to an accountant e-filing next year

Default Mail after the accountant has finished them. I have not done my own taxes in over 20 years
The tax and money pros make us money even after their fees are included. My wife is a famous artist type and as such the tax rules change in relation to home-based business and what the deductibles are. I am straight wages and dividends but coupled with the wife's gig, the formula for minimum taxes paid needs a pro to calculate.
