Default Fun with tires

Alright, now that Ive got the rims I want, its time for some summer/sporty tires. I am going to look for some old stock Ronal rimes for the snow tires(anyone have any they wanna sell?). I visited Eric (CuatroKoop) on Saturday and he advised 205-55-14/s for the 86. Id like to keep the same diameter all the way around, so I was thinking 205-60-14. Tire rack had some nice ones (Sumi's or Yoko's, I forget) for like, 74 a piece. What do you guys think? I may actually do this as soon as Tuesday, because Im possibly going to visit IU this coming weekend.
Advice is needed, thank you.

Mike

Default Re: Fun with tires

The new issue of Grassroots Motorsports has a huge tire shootout. You should check it out if you are even thinking about tires.

Default Falken Azenis!

Not quite as wide as you're looking for, but near race-tire grip. I've a set on my turbo Miata and they are un-freaking believeable. Cheap, as well, but summer only!

I've had pretty good luck with Falken, too. They don't wear very well, though.

Default Tire Update

After some deliberation, Ive changed my mind. Im going to totally ditch the snow tire idea and just get some all season performance tires. Im going to sell the snow tires with the AR rims as a package. The tires alone have less than 1000 miles on them. I just have no use for them, I think Im gonna get some Sumitomo's, I dont want something expensive, and these seem like a great deal (I forget the model number).
BUT, if anyone is interested in a GOOD set of snow tires/rims, LMK, I will sell them for a fair price.
