HELP! She failed me! sudden no start, cold related?
so it's freezing (literaly) out, and my car started, died before the engine fully revved up, and wouldn't start. I'm hoping it's something from the cold. any ideas?

try jumpering the fuel pump relay to start
could be low fuel pressure, weak spark (ie tune up time) or it could also be a loose ground wire in the FI or a suspect temp sensor.

Where's the FP relay?
it was 2AM, so I didn't try to much, but I couldn't find the FP relay under the hood. Is it under the dash? could the cold have effected the coil in any way?

relays are in the fuse box under the hood
near the driver's side firewall - I think its slot 10. Jumpering the two large spades allows the fuel pump to kick on without the key giving it time to build pressure in the FI system. Forgot to ask how cold was it ( insert joke here - ie "so cold I saw a dog frozen to a fire hydrant") if it starts after the temp goes above freezing, I'd say throw in some dry gas (fuel line de-icer) in the tank and you should be good to go.

UPDATE: started right up today.
no problems today. I checked the temp on Accuweather when I got home, said 32F. Someone today said they've seen the FP relays on these do that sometimes, but I'll try some de-icer just in case. Thanks for all your help.
