MC2 swap help
Wow. Not sure I like this new forum set-up. It's like waking up in a different bed to the one you fell asleep in. Anyway, I remember a while back somebody mentioned a website devoted to an MC swap in a 4k and mentioned some inaccuracies regarding wiring to the fuel pump relay. Anybody who's still around remember the posting or the site? I'm about ready to do the electrical part of this swap and would like a road map. Thanks for any help you can provide. Much appreciated.

There you go.
Its been a while, but I cant 100% remember the exact problem with the fuel pump wiring on the site. I did bring this up to the site owner, but it was never fixed.

You posted pictures...
of your 4kq showing the license plate. You used to be able to tell the county on Indiana license plates. 2 was Allen County. I was born, grew up and went to college in Hoosierland. I miss it. Indiana plates jump out at me. When I was in college, I worked for the Indiana Dept of Highways and saw most of the state and at one time had all the county numbers memorized. You're close to Auburn. If you haven't been there, you really should go to the ACD museum. That's a great museum.

Well no kidding, thats pretty cool. I have been to the ACD museum as well as the WWII museum up there (they have an old Horch of sorts there). They recently changed out plates and its totally BOGUS!! The county and county number are on a small white strip at the very top of the plate, and there are just random numbers below that. I dont like it, I like to see the county number, then a letter, then the numbers. Call me old school. Thats the main reason why I got a Purdue plate

Aw hell. A Boilermaker!
I spent the worst three years of my life in West Lafayette. Then I got wise and transferred to IU, Bloomington. It was a much better scene for me. Funny thing is the Purdue Alumni Association considers me an alum even though I graduated from IU because I went to Purdue for three years. So I get calls from both! And it was the IU alumni association that rolled me under the bus to Purdue. That ain't right. I get the whole switching to an alternate plate thing. I got IU plates because I hated the old "Amber Waves of Grain" plates circa 1993. I will miss the county numbers on the plates. Its funny how often people were actually surprised when you could tell them where they were from.
Yeah. The ACD Museum. I haven't actually been since about 1988. That WWII thing is new since my last visit. Too bad that I haven't been able to work in an excursion to Auburn on any of my short returns to Hoosierland. I gotta get to the museum at the track as well. Been to long for that as well.

My siblings went to Purdue
I never actually got to West Lafayette or Bloomington for school. My brother and sister both were at West Lafayette (sister graduated in 94, brother in December of 96). I actually started out as an IU student at IPFW, majoring in Business but switched to Purdue for their OLS program. I actually got accepted to the Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, but ended up staying home. Went to both schools to party though, IU is superior in that department.
I always liked out silly license plates and knowing where people were from as they drove by. You can still do that now, but its not the same.
