'81 tic-tac

Just had an over-the-phone estimate with the head guy Denny for a complete stainless exhaust on my 81 4k. Nice guy. He told that from the cat-back it would run me about 550, and from the manifold back (which is what i will be getting) it will run about 920. Including labor, and all parts, etc... Just wondering if this is a fair price. I was expecting around 800. Thanks a lot!

Why stainless? You could have a nice 2.25" performance steel for $400..or less.

I built my own & it ran me almost $700!

Muffle-X is a "pro" shop that does custom work!
Most of these type os specialized fabrication shops do charge more than the average muffler shops.

I had a cat-back aluminized (not stainless) done for $200!
Making it stainless would have doubled the price.
So, to me it seems expensive. Mik seems to think not. I guess the truth lies somewhere in between.
