Will the water pump make noise when it needs replacing? I have a noise in the front area, it almost sounds like gear train noise when coming to a stop. Comes and goes???? Did notice the voltage light bar jumping around, Maybe alternator bearings?????? any ideas

Yes, my h2o pump sounded like a teapot whistle/warbling noise when it was on its way out.

Maybe your timing belt roller is on its way out?

Better change out that water pump ASAP.
Had the same problem on my '76 Toyota
Corona MK.II (R.I.P.).
Almost toasted the engine.
