Default It's pronounced "er-quattro".

That's an AWESOME car, but I think the Sport Q hood looks better on coupes. The eurolights are nice no matter how you slice it, though.

Wan sprichts du deutsch, du musst das Word "Ur" als "ooor." Auf Deutsch, das "u" ist "oh" auf English. Auf Deutsch, das "r" ist "ehrr", mit ganze "r" rollen.

So, I get to show off my German... been speakin' it since 1969. The above translated.... When you speak German, the word "Ur" sounds like "ooor." In german, the "u" is like "oh" in English. In German, the "r" is like "Ehrr", with a "rolled" way.

Rememeber that there are many, many dilects of German, and it all depends on where you are living as to the exact pronucuation of a given phrase. All Germans are taught "high German" so that there is a universal language that they, and all the rest of us can understand.

Hope that this helps. 'Auf Wiedersehen!"

Default Ok, here's one for you. how is "Porsche" pronounced?

I've always wondered. Or does it depend on how pretentious you are?

Default from a german speaker...

the ur part is pronounced like a very quick
oooo-aaaah. the same as Uhr which means watch(as in wrist watch). quattro pretty much like kvattro but roll the "r" as well. try not to stand to close to people when saying this as you can spit on them easily.
