Default Shift Linkage and Manuals

Thanks for the info. The shifter seems tight and not sloppy at all so I'm thinking I might need to pivot the assembley a spline or two as Dwight suggested. Yesterday I took the boot off, looked at it and then went under the car and loosened what I think was the slide coupling bolt (it was the only bolt I could see) and realigned the hole in the shifter bearing plate and tightened everything back up.. W/o the volunteer as Uni suggested (before I read the replies). I didn't fix anything but at least I didn't make it worse ! As far as the manual go, on this little island I can't even find a Chiltons or a Haynes for any year Audi so whatver I get will be ordered online (the Bentley is 1/4 what I paid for the car though !). For now I've just been using the Big Chiltons Import Book at the library.

Apologize if too wordy. (and I love your truck Dwight).

Default Re: Shift Linkage and Manuals

Ive got that big ol Chiltons Import Book. Bought it at my companies book sale, 2 bucks. Id hook you up with a brand new Bentley, but we dont have any in our warehouse, but try ebay, they are on there from time to time. I also have a Haynes manual, which isnt the best, but kinda helpful.
