I installed my custom made Short shifter in my 4k yesterday!! It's hella cool. Cut about 1.5 inches off each 1/2 shift. Pretty easy to install with the exception of agjusting it to make sure all the gears engaged. I did end up ditching the reverse lockout. I hope this doesn't become a problem for some reason...any thoughts? I do need to go in and bend the rod a little more bec as it stands now, the rubber boot under the car is just hanging there. It was dark, I was tired, and just left it. Along the same line...Has anyone rebuilt the funky coupler that attaches the shift rod to the trans...How hard is this and how expensive? Mine's been tinkered with by a previous owner and is loose and googley moogley.

As long as you remember you dont have a 6th gear, reverse lockout is useless..
