Super Charger?

Audi did it with the UrQuattro and 5000 turbo.
And Callaway did a few turbo CIS cars(Scirocco and 4000q), and I've seen a few turboed/SCed VWs. The general word on aftermarket ones is, when they're not needing to be worked on, they're awesome fun, but the time and money spent maintaining them is ultimately not worth the fun(you'll spend a good 85-90% of the time you own it working on it). Factory turbo CIS cars seemed to get good results, but get persnickety as they get older. CIS is a great system, but it's very finicky and hard to get set right. Once it's going, though, it's awesome.

your right about CIS
it is a sweet system, i got that book you told me about and i been tuning my car almost every day to try different setups, i got it running great with gas right now, 155miles on half a tank.
im thinking about just going to the junk yard and taking what i need for the turbo from a 1.8l and just converting into a turbo but i need to find some decent doumentation on what i can and can't use, and what i need to get and can do without.

Yeah, the book's great, isn't it? Try this link to see what you need...
If the link doesn't work, try just 8vturbo.com without the 'www.'<ul><li><a href="http://www.8vturbo.com">http://www.8vturbo.com</a</li></ul>
