Transmission question
how smooth should my 83 CGT be from first to second gear. My dad adjusted the clutch all the way which made the shifting very rough and here in iowa it can get cold whihch made my clutch stickky but i got pissed off enough i readjusted it and now it is not sticking and feels almost like a hrdyo clutch. It also smoothed up the transmission. Is there anything else i can do to losen up the tranny shifting a little more

Mines in really good shape
and if I get too "hot" going from 1 to 2 I tend to miss a few shifts here and there. On my 016 that seems to be the hardest gate to hit correctly.
I've heard annecdotely that one of the magic formulas is 2 qts Redline MT-90 w/ 1 qt Redline Shockproof heavy.
Another is 2 qts of regular 85/90 gear oil with 1 qt GM/Pennzoil Syncromesh oil.
In my two LS trannies I run NEO 75/90 RHD and I love it. Even with repeated and constant hard driving the gears show no wear whatsoever.
