I clearly miss having an older Audi, thats a fact. Now, what will my next Audi be? Thats a question that I get asked alot and I cannot give anybody an honest answer. There are too many models that Audi made that I find simply awesome.
Brandon did me wrong and gave me the keys to his Alpine White 4kq at Carlisle and we took it for a spin. Just driving a 4000 again realllllly made me want to get one again and start a project all over.
I have also tossed the idea of a B3 20v car, which I would love to have.
I always say "The choice is yours" and I know the decision is 100% mine which Audi to get next, but Im at a loss at which one to get (and no, Im not getting more than one at the moment).
Hopefully a new job looms on the horizon, and if I can snag a decent 4kq or B3 20v for a good price, I could store it or find a place for it until I get a house or suitable place to keep it.
I do have plans for a 4kq and 20v car, whichever one I get.
Selling the 4ktq was a "must" for me, plus I wanted another Audi to build again.
So Id ask people have have owned or at least driven both a 4kq and B3 20v car. What are your honest impressions of both? What did you like/didnt you like about each car? Ive only driven I think 4 20v cars and loved all of them.
The lure of the 4000 series always brings me back though, its just too damn nice of a car.
Please post, I would really appreciate it.

4kq...
I haven't driven a good example of a 20v car so I can't be partial on this one. The only 20v car I drove had something wrong with it and was more sluggish than my tired old JT motor. But when my car was totalled, I test drove many other Audi's and pretty much had to have another 4kq.

4kq all the way...
Comparing my 4kq to my brothers and then stepdads CQ I have to say the 4kq is so much more fun to drive. Lets face it, the lure is partially the roar of an Inline 5...
The 20v cars just dont have that fast, all powerful feeling you get when compared with a 4000
My opinion is BUY A 4000!!!

I had a 4kq and went to a 90 20V then back to a 4kq then back to a B3 (NG 10V) then back to a 4kq. Do the math. 4kq is more fun to drive and I like the 1st generation lockers. B3 does have style and maybe a bit better for a long drive. Now that I am driving a E36 BMW as a daily I'm having thoughts of a E30 325iX to replace the '87 4kq sitting in the garage. I'll always keep the A4 Avant (nice cars).
