I have to organize my mess of pics one of these days and get some good shots of both. Did you see that silver 81 coupe on Audifans? very cool early car. I will also see if I can dig out some good taillight bulb holders after the holiday if you still need a few.
Have a good one,
Todd

Since we're all doing GTs, here's the one I used to have until the landlord apparently wanted it moved, nobody would buy it, so it got sold to the junk man for $50.
All it needed was some new front end pieces, a radiator, and an alternator bracket. A real bummer, especially being an '84.

Thanks for posting the pictures...you da man.
Thanks for the props on the graphite 87. It was 2.2 early 87 with the digital dash. It was hit hard in the front end when I got it. The car was too nice to not fix it. So, I fixed it, and those pictures show the results. I sold to a friend of the ex-wife, it resides down in Virginia Beach now. I see it from time to time. It, luckily, has found a loving home.
I hope you got my note about Heistand's? Let me know what they say about scheduling you in.
Cheers,
Ted

Are those b5 a4 seats in the coupe pictured above?? I love the sport wheel/seats combo and would love to know what kind of seats they are! Im planning the same "sport" interior and would like to paint the khaki sections of door panel black. Are there any all black fresh door panels out there? Perhaps with crank windows? I would love to get rid of my motors before hitting them with hammers stops working haha.

Those are manual (non-power) seats out of an early TT. I don't remember how tough he said they were to get in there, but something tells me it was a lot easier than some of the funky S4 seats that are always so tempting to drop into the older cars. And yes, they do look great! I'm not sure if the owner is a member here or not.
As for swapping over to manual windows- you aren't the first to reach frustration with bad regulators. I'd fight the urge and just try to pick up a few spares for each side. Post a WANTED ad on AF and you should be able to find some reasonably priced. The reality is that, even in cars this old, they often go for years without any trouble. If you do install new ones or have the door panels off for another reason, put some fresh grease, graphite, or other lube on the sliders. That will help them continue to operate smoothly.
