Default 1990 200 QT (10V) Oil pressure question

Hi All,

I am in the (slow) process of getting this car on the road and am having an issue with oil pressure. I have found that when the oil cap is removed, the engine dies due to low oil pressure (as indicated by instrument cluster).

I have ordered an oil pressure switch to see if that is faulty, but am looking for any other opinions.

About 225K miles.

Thanks,
Brent

Default Removing the oil cap will cause them to die...

it is a large vac leak and throws the CIS mix out. Don't panic.

Plus, you cannot leave the oil cap off and drive the car. It would be a mess!
