Default 94 Audi V8 Front wheel bearing replacement - HELP!!

Hello board,
I have my car torn down to the hub at this point and the axle is out. I have a FWD bearing puller set (cups, washers, etc...), and have read the directions. It appears as though the entire lug flange has to be pulled out of the hub(??) is that correct? I guess my question is: Is there a way to remove the bearing with what I have on hand? Or, do I need another tool to extract it from the hub? If so, what is that tool and where will I find it? BTW I did search this topic and found 'some' info, but nothing specific to this issue.

Does the entire flange with the lug nut holes come out the front? Or, is there a way to extract the bearing itself from the back. Any help is TRULY appreciated! Thanks!

You can with some force and a hammer (and something to hit) force the hub out of the bearing. Then you can use the tool you have to extract the remaining part from the upright.

You will need a shop hyd. press to remove the bearing race that will still be on the hub. Then you shoudl be able to reverse the process and use that tool to "press' the new bearing back into the upright - but IMO you will still need that press to reinstall the hub back into the bearing.

Here is a good step by step someone doign their rear but it's the same process..

the easiest way to remove a stuck inner race from a hub is to either (very carefully) use an air chisel at a slight angle, to "spin" it off. or cut a notch in the stuck inner race with a dremel or similar, then give it a few strikes with a cold chisel to split the race, where it will then just slide off easily.

Hub looks fine to me, although I wouldn't personally put copper anti-seize on the matting surface.

Here's a Hub Shark trying to pull the front bearing from a 200q20v. Once I reversed the support castings, it worked OK. The hub does come out with the bearing.

Here's the rest of the process: separating the bearing from the hub.

Don't know how strong your puller system is.
