Default An answer without a question. - Bose radio

In window antenna and antenna amp.

I was getting a lot of static on the AM stations to the point that I could even hear the arcing brushes in the not to happy fuel pump.

Looked in Bently and found that
1) I needed to check the fuse on back of radio - OK
2) check fuse #25 in Main fuse/relay box - OK
3) go to 'C' pillar on drivers side and test the AM band antena amplifier.

Unplugged the red power wire and found the 12V it was supposed to have. When unplugged the radio sound quit.
The 30 - 50 ma (spec) didn't seem to be there but may have been the operator of the multimeter.
Unplugged the antena wire in the window.
Plugged everything back together and static was fixed sound is good now (as good as the Bose system can be)
The wires must have lost contact and messing with them was the answer.

Default So it wasn't your fuel pump after all.

That's cool to hear.
