Anybody removed Alarm Control Unit? I am having weird
problems with alarm. Car won't start until key is inserted into door lock, rotated then inserted into the ignition. If the car doesn't start, same process over. If no one has had these type of problems, I will map my steps for the next poor soul.

Are you sure you removed the actual unit? Sounds like part of it is still in there. Most of the time I've found that if you disconnect them the car will either cease to function entirely or will return to functioning normally. Also is this a factory or aftermarket alarm? If it's factory it's probably wired into the harness and removing it may cause more harm than good.

I haven't removed anything....yet. Just wondering
what would happen if I did. I suspect that you are correct that since power to the ignition comes through the central alarm unit, that I would need to bypass the unit. Wondered if anyone had done this and could help in what wires go where... I have a good diagram thanks to Will Ng. May have an aftermarket unit, don't know.

Check wires in door hinge
I'm guessing you are talking about the 100.
On all the 100/200 cars the drivers door hinge wiring is going to be (or has been) a problem. The huge bundle of wires has too many bends on too cheap insulation.
Broken insulation, shorted wiring, alarm wierdness and lock problems, window problems, etc...
replace wiring with NEW wire from inside the door to inside the kick panel.
You will probably find a sticky mess of electrical tape, solder, cracked insulation, and frayed wires inside the door hinge wiring boot. Watch out some of those wires are always hot. Try not to let any of the blue smoke out of the wires.

Since it's the starter that won't turn over and not the ignition...
sounds like you still have the factory alarm and not some aftermarket unit.
The others may be right, there are two (arm and disarm) wires going to the unit from each front door.
I bet those wires in the driver's door boot is the culprit.
To bypass the starter kill, according to the diagrams, the alarm unit severs Ground to the starter kill relay when armed. So, locate the relay, bypass it by either providing Ground to that pin all the time, or just jumper the feed to the starter solenoid.
