Anyone running 225/45/17 or 215/45/17 tires on 45mm offset wheels?

Anyone running 225/45/17 or 215/45/17 tires on 45mm offset wheels?
I'm wondering about possible interference up front with the steering knuckle?
I'd think the 215's would clear but not sure about 225's?
Anyone? Need BTDT before I spend my money on new tires.

Since no one responded, I feel compelled, but I don't know how much help I'll be:
I have 225/45/17s running on my 89 200, but I don't know the offset, as they came with the car. I do know that the alignment shop had to (not sure of right terms...) "tip in the tops" to clear the rear body panels when I had the alignment checked.
But, since I didn't do the mod but instead bought the car that way... no details. Sorry!

My car had 215/50-16s with 45 mm OS and barely cleared
Car: 1988 5000CSTQ.
This applies to 16 (not 17) inch wheels . . .
The car's been lowered about 1.5 inches and has 16 inch 45 mm (7 inch wide? 7.5"? I forget.)offset wheels.
When I bought it it had 215/50-16s on it and they were IMHO too wide. At the front they BARELY missed the tirerod ends and at the rear touched the outside surface of the fender liner, even with two degrees negative camber. I wouldn't recommend this setup.
I replaced the tires with 205/55-16s which are a little better and would conditionally recommend them.
