<center><img src="http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o122/DoctorD415/comboswitch2.jpg"></center><p>I got the front metal peice off, but im still tryin to get to that high/low beam
stalk....I still can't figure out how to get the two halves apart...from the picture shown below, in the circles those metal peieces are connected to one another from each half. I'm not sure if I can detach the thin metal piece from the sprong thing in the rear or what...anyone know how to get these two pieces apart, cuz I'm lost...

Default I recall 4 rivet-like things holding the 2 halves together

Sort of like a steel tube with the ends rolled over. I drilled these out and the thing came apart. One on each corner.

This is my recollection so this may or may not be right.

I put the thing back together with long thin machine screws and nuts.

Default Re: I drilled those out...

I drilled 'em out too. Once I pried off the top plate, it "exploded" so I just threw it into the garbage can and bought a new one.

As I get older I have lost some patience for this sort of stuff.

Default Ah yes now it is coming back to me

Somewhere along the line I think I had a similar experience to Bally - I have my old one sitting here but for the life of me I cannot tell how it comes apart.
