Calling birdmanmt...
Jeff-since you seem to know a bit about the NF head on MC block conversion, I have one more question: Do you know if the MC head gasket will mate correctly with the larger combustion chambers on the NF head? Have you done this swap? If so, which hg did you use?
Thx again,
Jim

I wouldn't really call this a "conversion".
you're just putting a different head on. All the 10v blocks are the same(ok damn near), hence the heads being interchangable. The changes come in the pistons' and their dishes etc...
I'm using the all metal URS4/6 20vT headgasket. I'd highly recommend it. Otherwise any old MC HG will work just fine. yep, i'm running the NF head, have been for quite some time now.

i've done the swap as well as many others too jim...
the headgaskets are the same, interchangable. however the urS 20vt hg jeff mentioned is recommeneded especially if you are running higher boost. good luck!

NF head+MC1 block+S6 HG+ ARP studs= bulletproof!
This is the hot setup, IMO. Prepare to pay more for the studs OR gasket than you will for the used head! Been running this with no fabrication, modification, or trouble, for 10K miles so far...
