I am trying to take an aux. instrument cluster (oil pressure, temp, volt) and install it in a Vanagon that received an NF swap. Looking at page 429 (1991 100) in volume three, I am trying to determine what P1 and T1 are. Seems that they are the same- only from either side of the dimmer control (the one on track 261)? The dimmer thingy on track 253 is confusing me â€" is this circuitry that is on board the aux inst. board? I guess Iâ€^TMm confused why there would be two lines from the dimmer when the ground track is already taken care of....? Or am I missing something (likely!)

If the wires are shown in "light lines" they are "internal connections", such as in the fuse box or somewhere else that circuits are gathered.

there are 3 connections to the Instrument Panel Lite Dimmer. (3/P1-BL, 2/P2-BL/Y, 1/P3-BL/W) All three connect to the Instrument Lite Booster(29,30). It is hard to tell exactly what the set up is from the wiring diagram but it looks to me like the Dimmer is supplied power and ground from the Booster. The third line provides the Booster with the signal to determine the brightness. That's just a guess.
